I'm back!

It's been a long time since I've been able to post to my blog.
First, I haven't been 'creative' in a while - healing from surgery and dealing with 'stuff'.
Then, when I finally made some cards, I couldn't get Goggle to inhabit my post online.
The photos were not coming up and I just got frustrated.   As a result, the last post was pictures from December, 2011.   Now that things are operational again, perhaps I'll be able to post more often.
Thanks for listening and being patient.  :)

Disney, Old Friends and Toys for Tots

Chris has been a busy young man.  At Disney with Papa - enjoying the view.   Getting together with an old friend, Chris with Meghan, in December.  And after a couple of months of collecting, delivering Toys for Tots to the Lake Mary Fire Department.   What a great guy!

Friends and Family Celebration

After the ceremony at church, we headed to Buca di Beppo for our celebration. Here we have Jim and Tosca Blake, Dot Jenks, John and Janis and Jason Plescia, Russ and Heidi. Buca did a great job and we feasted on salads, pasta, ravioli and chicken parmesan.

We are so blessed to have great friends to share our special days. Thanks for joining us.

Confirmation Day

Today Chris was confirmed into our church and we are so proud. He has been taking his confirmaiton classes all year at the Academy and did very well. One of 30 teens to be confirmed into the church, Chris shines. Here he is, then with his parents - Heidi & Russ, PaPa then Nanny. The last photo is at the church with the pastors.

Great job, Chris. We all love you and are so happy for you.

Beautiful Morning

The gardenias, jasmine and hibiscus are in bloom and very happy this morning.
It's a gorgeous morning - Happy Friday! The quiet of the morning, before all the mowers, trucks and buses invade the air, is my favorite time of day.

Mystery Day Fun For All!

Spring Break usually brings about some fun times at Nana Bev's camp. This year we did a fun Mystery Day with our neighbors and friends. Of course we started in the studio and crafted Easter Eggs out of paper. They sure are colorful and fun.

Next we played some Minute to Win It games, then headed to lunch at Pizza Hut. Boy can these kids eat. PH couldn't keep up with the pizza orders. After lunch - our trip took us to the local library to 'hunt' for books. What fun watching the two teams try to find all the topics on the list. They had difficulty with books on zoos and bananas. Go figure. :)

Bounce U was our next stop ... and bounce they did. Bounce and run and slide down the huge blow-up slides. Basketball and hide and seek kept them all busy. So much to do and all the energy to do it - while I sat and kept guard at the door. I think the pictures show the fun they were having. Love to do these fun days with Chris and his friends.

Bring on Spring ...

Everyone gets into the act ...

Not to be out-done by the younger set, Heidi, Russ and John took their turn with our favorite Santa! Ho Ho Ho!

Here comes Santa Claus

Santa arrived last night and was caught in the act. So we took advantage and had him pose with Suki and Chris. Wishing everyone a very special day and all the blessings of the season.

Merry Christmas.

Tis the season - for three trees

Our three main trees shine bright - every room has trees but these are the biggies!  :)

First is the Dining Room tree ....  then the Formal Lining Room tree ...  and finally the Family Room tree ...  all can be seen from the other room ...   we 'get into' Christmas around here.   I love the season from Halloween to Christmas.   I guess I need to photograph the outside as well.

May you and yours have a blessed Christmas and a very prosperous New Year.

Academy Christmas Program

Chris (grandson) took part in the annual Christmas Concert for the Academy. His class played the chimes throughout the evening and they did a wonderful job! This was our eighth holiday show ... one more to go. It was an awesome night - some laughs but more pride. All the children did great - we could actually hear them singing! Now it's Christmas!

Ready for Christmas ....

..... or a treat! This is the Princess of the House. Suki keeps us laughing all the time. She's sitting on top of the sofa cushions in these photos ... one of her favorite spots. From this vantage point, she can see the squirrels in the backyard, the kids out front, and - heaven forbid - another 'dog' walking by.

Oh Christmas Tree!

Every year we fill the house with Christmas. These are our three main trees ... family room, formal living room and dining room. Actually, every room in the house has a tree of sorts ... they just are a bit smaller.
Wishing everyone a never-ending season of love and peace.
